Annual Regatta
Fun Race and BBQ
Sunday 30th August 2026
BHYC held it’s traditional late-summer pursuit race to The Rocks and back. This year boats started from 13:00 and finished at 15:00 onwards. 14 boats (under 20 feet in length) entered, most finished in demanding conditions and the race was won by our Commodore, Mike Sherwen in his Laser. A superb Safety Boat service was provided by Josh Fisk and FFSC. Many thanks to them.
The race was followed by the annual BBQ which over 50 members and guests enjoyed.

Beach Erosion Fundrasing
Due to massive shingle erosion along the riverside, Bawdsey Haven Yacht Club has made urgent emergency temporary repairs to the river bank and groynes by the entrance to its boat yard and has now set up a fundraising initiative to support further work.
